Stir Fry & Sauteed Veggies
I have often said that “stir fry” is a cooking technique and not a dish. It is the fastest and most nutritional way to cook vegetables and many fruits as well. The list of fruits and veggies which can be stir fried includes just about every fruit and vegetable that grows. Stir fry can be savory cooked with soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, butter or margarine, wine, onion, sage, parsley and most other savory spices. It can also be sweet with fruit mixed with yams, apples, cranberries, pineapple, tomatoes and nuts.
Your stir fry can be served over a mound of sticky rice, boiled bulgur wheat or quinoa which can be flavored with garlic butter, soy sauce, curry, pepper paste, Siriacha, Tabasco, sesame oil, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, rice wine vinegar or a sprinkle of your favorite salad dressing. Not too much though you want to taste the vegetables. Your sweet dishes can be served as above but with a sprinkle of maple syrup, brown sugar, butter/margarine, honey butter, cinnamon or nutmeg.
This way you can have your veggies every night for dinner and have them be different each time.
