Your beats should follow some type of structure, typically 16 bars of verse and 8 bars of chorus and that repeated 3 times. you can add 2-8 bar intros 2-4 bar transitions/bridges 2-8 outro bars. These are suggestions but not the mandatory way to do it. Try to structure in even bars for verses and hooks. To differentiate your chorus from the verse, add and remove sounds until it sounds different enough but still the same. Thats as simple as I can put it. Heres an example of what one of my songs looks like for reference.
